One of the highest paid jobs in the world is the investment banking job. Interestingly, in order to get this job, you don't really need a high qualification nor much experience nor finance major nor a good academic record. You may not believe me, but I know few guys with even hospitality background now working in investment banking. There are guys with history background working in banking. I also know few people with major in biology (with no mathematics background) working in a investment company. As I understand, no matter what your background is you can get into a high paying banking job.

1. From the below list make a sub list of companies near your city

2. Get the website of all of them (Google will help you for that)

3. If you have an account in Linkedin (if you don't have one, create it), check if some of your connections (may be 2nd degree or share a group) work in those firms

4. Follow these companies in Linkedin (so that u get job posting updates)

5. If you find some connections and if their account setting allows you to write to them, inquire about the skills those banks look for in employees. (these communications help you build network. It doesn't matter what he tells)

6. Search internet how to make a good resume and covering letter for banking jobs. Spent at least one month researching and preparing this. This is very important

7. Start applying.

8. If you don't get, repeat the same procedure not for a job but for an unpaid internship (this helps you build connections to get inside the system)
